Update from the GM: Board Meeting Recap & Communications Moving Forward
Yesterday, the Board of Directors held its regularly scheduled meeting. Thank you to the homeowners who took the time to attend.
As part of the Board’s responsibilities, action was taken to authorize the initiation of legal proceedings for accounts that remain delinquent on both annual and special assessments. While these decisions are never taken lightly, they are necessary. The Board has a fiduciary obligation to the Association to ensure assessments are collected in accordance with the governing documents and state law, as these funds directly support the operations and long-term sustainability of the community. The Board also received updates through liaison reports, providing visibility into ongoing initiatives and key areas of focus across the Association.
What is a Board Meeting?
A Board meeting is a business meeting of the Board of Directors. It is where decisions are made, policies are reviewed, and the business of the Association is conducted. Homeowners are always welcome and encouraged to attend and observe. However, it’s important to understand that:
- Board meetings are not open discussion forums
- Homeowners do not participate during the meeting itself.
For those who wish to address the Board, we offer an Open Forum / Speaker Form. This allows homeowners to submit topics in advance so the Board can be prepared and ensure responses are appropriate and productive. Board meetings are typically held on the fourth Thursday of each month, and details are always posted in advance (6 days before the meeting via the website and stand-alone notices).
Communication – Setting the Standard
We continue to hear feedback regarding communication, and I want to address that directly. The official source of information for the Association is our website: stonebridgeranch.com. This is where homeowners will find accurate, complete, and up-to-date information regarding:

Communication Strategy & Operational Alignment
The Association is actively advancing its communication strategy to better align with the scale, structure, and operational needs of Stonebridge Ranch.
As part of ongoing operational oversight, we have been closely evaluating how communication is currently functioning across the Association and where improvements are necessary.
Following a review of communication performance metrics, in coordination with our Communications and Media Director, we continue to see strong, measurable engagement across our established channels, including the community website, direct email, digital forms, phone, and in-person support. These platforms are structured, trackable, and allow for consistent and accountable communication.
As we move into the next phase, we will continue to strengthen and enhance these systems to support a more effective two-way communication model—one that ensures information is accurate, responses are accountable, and engagement is managed in a way that is sustainable at this scale and aligned with industry best practices for a community of this size.
This direction reflects a deliberate effort to align communication with platforms that support the business operations of the Association, rather than informal channels that do not provide the level of structure, consistency, or reliability required.
Additional enhancements are currently in progress, and more information will be shared as they are implemented. To further support this effort, we will be issuing a brief survey to gather resident feedback on communication preferences and overall accessibility of Association information. This input will be used to refine and strengthen our communication strategy moving forward.
