Update from the GM: Beach Club Project Groundbreaking
I’m excited to share that we officially broke ground on our highly anticipated Beach Club Project on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 – a major milestone in the continued enhancement of our community.
Held on site at our previous Beach Club, the ceremony brought together SRCA Board Members, project partners, and City of McKinney leadership to celebrate the beginning of construction on what will become a signature recreational destination for our residents.
The program featured remarks from SRCA Board President Jon Dell’Antonia, Beach Club Project Manager and Board Director Bob Edgar, and Mayor Bill Cox, who reflected on both the history and future of the Beach Club.
In his opening remarks, Jon Dell’Antonia said, “This new version should serve as the new signature feature for Stonebridge Ranch for the next 35 years for families to enjoy.”
Edgar highlighted the project’s focus on creating an even more family-friendly experience for residents with the addition of a separate children’s pool, expanded playground equipment, more picnic areas, fire pits, and other features designed to create a welcoming resort-style environment.
Mayor Cox also shared a personal connection to the Beach Club, noting that his own family enjoyed birthday parties there over the years and expressing excitement for the next chapter of the amenity.
Following the remarks, members of the Beach Club Project Team joined Mayor Cox for a ceremonial groundbreaking, officially marking the start of construction.
The new Beach Club is designed to build upon the legacy of the original amenity while introducing modern features and expanded spaces for recreation, gathering, and year-round enjoyment. Planned enhancements include a resort-style pool environment with dedicated children’s areas, additional shaded seating, picnic spaces, fire pits, upgraded facilities, and improved accessibility and security features.
This project is being delivered in collaboration with an outstanding team of partners, including Millis Development & Construction, Kimley-Horn, Pritchard Associates, Conduit Architecture + Design, and Aqueous Engineering.
Construction is now underway, and we look forward to welcoming residents to the new Beach Club when it opens in May 2027.
