Update from Our GM, Rachael Robinson: The Role of the Management Company

GM Update - Role of the Management Company

Happy October!

First, a sincere thank you to our Finance Committee. They have been working diligently with management to prepare the 2026 Budget for Board review. The Board of Directors will meet on October 9, 2025 to adopt the budget and address other important operational matters. The official meeting notice will be sent on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Last week, I highlighted how assessments form the financial foundation of our community. This week, I’d like to share another important piece of the puzzle: the role of the management company.

Stonebridge Ranch is proudly managed by RealManage Elevated Onsite. This means that the team you see in our onsite office—including myself—are RealManage employees dedicated solely to supporting this community.

So what does that mean in practice?

  • The Board decides; management carries out. Your Board of Directors, your elected neighbors, have a fiduciary duty to protect property values, make sound financial decisions, and guide the long-term success of the Association.
  • Management implements. My team and I take those Board directives and bring them to life, from overseeing vendors and maintaining community standards to managing daily operations.
  • It’s a partnership. Think of it like flying a plane: the Board sets the destination and makes the big decisions, while management ensures the engines run, the operations are coordinated, and everyone gets where they’re supposed to go. Both roles are essential, but the authority always rests with the Board.

And while management is here as the Association’s agent, it truly does take a village to keep Stonebridge Ranch thriving. That “village” includes not only our staff and residents, qualified experts, but also our committees.  Committees are appointed by the Board to serve in an advisory capacity. Given the size and complexity of Stonebridge Ranch, they provide invaluable support by researching issues, generating ideas, and collaborating on solutions, helping the Board remain focused on its high-level responsibility of effective governance.

It’s important to note: committees do not hold decision-making authority unless specifically granted by law or delegation. For example, Appeals (required under Texas law) and Modifications are decision-making committees. Others serve strictly in an advisory role, providing expertise and recommendations that strengthen Board decision-making.

In my first 60 days, I’ve worked closely with each of our departments to ensure service remains seamless and truly resident-focused. For example, our Digital Content & Communications team is not only managing the website, updates, and engagement, but also streamlining digital forms to make them more user-friendly. They are also enhancing the process for reserving community amenities for private events, making it easier and more convenient for residents to enjoy our beautiful spaces. These initiatives are part of a broader effort to ensure that Stonebridge Ranch residents continue to benefit from an elevated experience, true to our RealManage Elevated Onsite commitment.

Together, through the leadership of the Board, the support of our committees, the engagement of residents, and the daily work of management, we continue to keep Stonebridge Ranch strong, vibrant, and one of the most desirable master-planned communities in Texas.
