The purpose of the Amenities Committee is to advise and assist the Board of Directors in the oversight, maintenance, and development of common-owned properties within Stonebridge Ranch. These include association-owned pools, parks & playgrounds, social event areas, and sports courts. The volunteers’ duties include ensuring the maintenance and improvement of existing amenities, and when possible, building new ones.
For example, in 2016, the association enjoyed the grand opening of our newest amenity, Stonebridge Plaza, located at 7501 Coronado Drive next to the Aquatic Center. The Amenities Committee was instrumental in the creation of this new shared space, where the Association now hosts live concerts and community-wide picnics and where residents can participate in the fastest-growing sport in the nation, pickleball. In recent years, the committee also oversaw the improvement of many playgrounds throughout Stonebridge Ranch, including the installation of new play equipment at the Beach & Tennis Club playground.
LAKES REPORT
In February 2021, to help Stonebridge Ranch residents appreciate and enjoy our lakes and ponds, the Amenities Committee published the Stonebridge Ranch Lakes Report (linked below). The in-depth report describes the unique attributes of each body of water we own, including their locations. We’ve included photos so you can preview each destination. The report also includes an overview of SRCA responsibilities related to lake and pond maintenance, including the areas where we concentrate HOA resources for our sport catch-and-release fishing program.
MEETING MINUTES
The Amenities Committee meets monthly on the second Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Meetings are held in the Board Room at the association office. Committee volunteers choose their own meeting times to fit their members’ schedules.
SB LAKE TRAIL
Also in 2021, the Amenities Committee created the Stonebridge Ranch Lake Trail (SBLT), our community’s newest amenity. The trail is a loop of almost 20 miles contained within the boundaries of Stonebridge Ranch. It passes by 15 SRCA lakes and ponds and highlights some of the most beautiful vistas within our community.
Using the trail route enables residents to exercise, interact with neighbors, and discover hidden corners of our beautiful community. Visit the SB Lake Trail webpage for maps, a list of turns and directions, and more info.
