Update from the GM: July Board Meeting Recap and Highlights

Update from the GM - SRCA - 7.31.26

Last Thursday, the Stonebridge Ranch Community Association Board of Directors held its regularly scheduled monthly Board Meeting. I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to attend and participate.

The meeting was attended by 24 individuals, including all seven members of the Board of Directors, members of the Association’s management team, RealManage leadership, Association legal counsel, and homeowners.

For those who may be new to the Association, our monthly Board Meetings are business meetings where the Board conducts Association business, receives committee and management reports, considers policy and governance matters, and takes action on items requiring Board approval. While these meetings are open to homeowners, they are different from our Annual Meeting.

Homeowners are always welcome and encouraged to attend. If you would like to address the Board, we ask that you submit a Speaker Form in advance so your comments can be included during the Homeowner Open Forum portion of the agenda.

We also appreciate everyone who submitted questions through the Zoom chat during the meeting. Those questions are currently being reviewed, and responses will be provided as appropriate.

As a friendly reminder, Board Meetings are not the appropriate forum to discuss individual homeowner account balances, compliance matters, or issues involving specific properties. Those matters are handled privately with management to protect homeowner privacy and ensure compliance with applicable laws and governing documents.

Highlights from the July Board Meeting

During the meeting, the Board:

  • Approved revisions to the Association’s Records Retention Policy and Records Production & Copying Policy.
  • Appointed a new volunteer to the Modifications Committee.
  • Approved moving forward with several Design Guideline amendments for future Board consideration.
  • Continued discussions regarding the FY2027 operating budget and long-range reserve planning.
  • Received updates on the Beach Club project, Landscape & Grounds initiatives, maintenance projects, committee activities, and other operational priorities.
  • Reviewed matters related to collections, legal issues, contracts, and procurement during Executive Session, as permitted under Texas law.

What Management Is Working On

Your management team continues to focus on several major initiatives, including:

  • Development of the FY2027 operating budget and reserve funding plan.
  • Main Office restoration planning.
  • Beach Club construction oversight.
  • Landscape & Grounds project coordination.
  • Recruitment and onboarding of key leadership positions.
  • Continued review of Association assets and long-term capital planning.

These projects represent months of planning and coordination between management, Board committees, consultants, legal counsel, and our vendor partners. While much of this work happens behind the scenes, it is essential to maintaining and improving the community for years to come.

Thank You

Over the past several weeks, we’ve also introduced more frequent community communications to provide greater transparency into Association operations. We’ve received thoughtful feedback from many residents, and I’d like to sincerely thank everyone who has taken the time to share their comments.

One resident wrote:

Thank you for all the information and for organizing all the fun activities.”

Another shared:

“These are an excellent addition to news bulletins. It lets everyone be aware of all you do, and what it takes to keep Stonebridge looking so pristine.”

Thank you for your encouragement and for staying engaged. We will continue refining our communications to ensure they remain timely, informative, and valuable to our community.

As always, thank you for being an active part of Stonebridge Ranch. I hope you and your families have a wonderful weekend.

Staying Connected

We encourage homeowners to regularly review Stonebridge Ranch’s official communication channels, including Association email updates, the Stonebridge Ranch website, official notices, and communications from the Board and Management team. These channels are intended to provide current information about Association services, community projects, resident resources, events, and long-term planning. When residents have questions or need assistance, our team is available to help direct them to the appropriate information or department.
