Our Landscape & Grounds team continues working throughout Stonebridge Ranch to keep our common areas healthy, attractive, and well maintained. While every landscape area is unique, our crews carefully evaluate each location to determine the best approach for long-term success.

Tree Trimming vs. Tree Removal

Seeing crews work on trees often raises questions about why some trees are trimmed while others are removed. Tree trimming selectively removes branches to improve a tree’s health, appearance, and safety. Tree removal is reserved for trees that are dead, hazardous, or beyond recovery. Not every damaged or declining tree needs to be removed, and each tree is evaluated individually before the appropriate course of action is determined.

Why Some Plants Struggle

Even with regular maintenance, some plants may struggle due to factors such as heat, intense sunlight, soil conditions, drainage, or pests. While it may seem like additional watering is the answer, that’s not always the case. Selecting the right plant for the right location is often the key to long-term success, and our landscape team continually monitors these areas to determine the most effective solution.

Why Landscaping Varies Throughout the Community

With 75 unique villages and a variety of common areas, no two landscape beds are exactly alike. Sun exposure, soil conditions, drainage, irrigation, and plant varieties can differ significantly from one location to another. Because of this, landscape maintenance is tailored to the specific needs of each area rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Maintenance Update

Our Maintenance team is coordinating repairs to fountain lighting at Millard Pond, Fountainview Pond, and La Cima Pond. Lonestar has been contacted and will be completing the necessary service work.

To help maintain the health and appearance of our waterways, Magnolia Fisheries continues treating Association ponds for algae on a weekly basis, as needed.
