Compliance Corner: Exterior & Window-Mounted Air Conditioning Units
As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain the appearance and standards of Stonebridge Ranch, we would like to remind residents of the community guidelines regarding exterior and window-mounted air conditioning equipment.
Window-Mounted A/C Units Are Not Permitted
Window-mounted air conditioning units are not permitted within Stonebridge Ranch. This also includes indoor or portable A/C units that are vented through windows or exterior walls.
Residents considering additional cooling options for their homes should ensure that any equipment complies with the Association’s governing documents before installation.
Screening Requirements for Exterior Equipment
The Association’s governing documents require utility meters, equipment, air conditioning compressors, and similar exterior items to be visually screened and located in areas designated by the Reviewing Body.
If air conditioning equipment is visible from the front of the home, a Common Area, or the golf course, it must be visually screened with a minimum five-gallon evergreen shrub.
Proper screening helps exterior equipment blend into the surrounding landscape while maintaining the overall appearance of the community.
